Summer Student Internship
New Life
The Discipleship Training Program is a 6-week intensive program where high school and college age students learn how to be intentional followers of Jesus Christ, learn valuable leadership and life skills, and how to make a difference for The Kingdom of God both inside and outside of the Church.
New Schedule
Disciples will spend the first two weeks of the program at the Escondido SDA Church studying, worshipping, traveling, and growing together. The remaining four weeks will be spent ministering in their own local Church and community implementing the skills and concepts they have learned in the initial training.
The Escondido SDA Church staff realizes that this is a very serious endeavor and commitment. We ask anyone who considers applying to make it a serious matter of prayer. The experience is fun, fulfilling, and at times can feel overwhelming, but always worthwhile!
New Skills
The program has an academic as well as a practical side to it. The academic side covers the material from two books, "Follow Me" by Jan Hettinga and "Messy Spirituality" by Mike Yaconelli.

• Sharing your Gospel message
• SDA Biblical doctrines
• Character development
• Leadership development
• Ministry strategizing
Areas of practical experience:
• Ministering in your local church
